Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MG56-VI is an investigational allergen immunotherapy developed by INMUNOTEK for the treatment of grass pollen-induced allergic rhinitis and rhinoconjunctivitis. It consists of a polymerized allergoid derived from a 50/50 mixture of Phleum pratense and Dactylis glomerata grass pollen, conjugated with non-oxidized mannan from Saccharomyces cerevisiae using glutaraldehyde. The product is designed to target dendritic cells via the mannan receptor (C-type lectin receptor), promoting allergen uptake and the induction of tolerogenic immune responses. MG56-VI refers to a specific high-dose concentration (5,000 mTU/mL) evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for both subcutaneous and sublingual administration.
