Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MGB-002 is an investigational T-cell receptor engineered T-cell (TCR-T) therapy being developed by Mongoose Bio for the treatment of various solid tumors. The therapy involves engineering a patient's own T cells to express specific T-cell receptors that target cancer-testis antigen (CTA) peptides. These peptides are presented on the surface of tumor cells by Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) alleles HLA-A2 and HLA-A24. By targeting these specific epitopes, MGB-002 is designed to recognize and eliminate cancer cells in a variety of indications, including prostate cancer, triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), lung cancer, colorectal cancer, and the rare bone cancer chordoma. As of early 2024, the program is in the preclinical stage of development.
