Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MGB-003 is a preclinical T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy being developed by Mongoose Bio for the treatment of breast cancer. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express specific TCRs that recognize peptides derived from cancer-testis antigens (CTAs). These peptides are presented on the cell surface by Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA) molecules, specifically HLA-A2 and HLA-A3/A11. By targeting these restricted epitopes, MGB-003 aims to selectively identify and eliminate breast cancer cells while minimizing off-target effects on healthy tissues where CTA expression is typically restricted.
