Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MGB-004 is a preclinical T-cell receptor (TCR) engineered T-cell therapy being developed by Mongoose Bio. The therapy involves engineering a patient's T cells to express a specific TCR that recognizes a cancer-testis antigen (CTA) peptide presented by the Human Leukocyte Antigen (HLA)-A2 molecule. Cancer-testis antigens are typically expressed in germ cells but are aberrantly expressed in various malignancies, making them ideal targets for immunotherapy with minimal off-target effects on healthy tissues. MGB-004 is being investigated for the treatment of a wide range of hematological and solid tumors, including acute myeloid leukemia (AML), bladder cancer, breast cancer, cervical cancer, esophageal cancer, lymphoma, and various sarcomas, as well as rare indications like angiosarcoma, anaplastic thyroid cancer, and glioblastoma.
