Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MGD014 is an investigational bispecific DART (Dual-Affinity Re-Targeting) molecule developed by MacroGenics for the treatment of HIV infection. It is designed to target both the envelope protein gp120 on HIV-infected cells and CD3 on T cells, thereby redirecting T lymphocytes to kill HIV-infected cells. This mechanism aims to eliminate latent reservoirs of HIV, potentially as part of a "shock-and-kill" strategy in combination with latency-reversing agents. MGD014 is administered parenterally and represents MacroGenics' first clinical DART molecule targeting virus-infected cells[1][2][7].
