Overview

Mgnium is an oral dietary supplement developed by Bion Therapeutics. It is formulated as a tablet containing a combination of magnesium oxide (300 mg) and magnesium gluconate (400 mg), providing 200 mg of elemental magnesium. Magnesium is an essential mineral that plays a critical role in over 300 enzymatic reactions, energy production, and maintaining normal nerve and muscle function. At the neurocellular level, magnesium acts as a voltage-dependent blocker of the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, thereby regulating neuronal excitability and preventing excitotoxicity. It also acts as a positive allosteric modulator of GABA-A receptors, promoting relaxation and reducing stress. Mgnium is primarily indicated for supporting bone and teeth health, reducing tiredness and fatigue, and maintaining normal psychological and nervous system function.
