Overview

MGP siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) designed to target and knockdown the expression of matrix gla protein (MGP). In endothelial cells, knockdown of MGP has been shown to decrease the expression of von Willebrand factor (VWF) at both the mRNA and intracellular protein levels, suggesting a role for MGP in the transcriptional regulation of VWF and its potential implication in von Willebrand disease (VWD).
