Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MGT-007 is an investigational fecal microbiota transplantation (FMT) therapy developed by Metagen Therapeutics. It is designed to modulate the gut microbiome to enhance the efficacy of immune checkpoint inhibitors in patients with gastrointestinal cancers. The therapy is administered via colonoscopy and is currently being evaluated in exploratory clinical research in collaboration with the National Cancer Center and Juntendo University. By restoring or altering the microbial composition of the gut, MGT-007 aims to overcome resistance to immunotherapy and improve clinical outcomes for cancer patients.
