Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MGX-101 is a single-domain antibody (sdAb) targeting C-C chemokine receptor type 8 (CCR8), currently in the discovery stage for the treatment of solid tumors. Developed by Mabgenex, the drug is designed to selectively target CCR8, a chemokine receptor predominantly expressed on tumor-infiltrating regulatory T cells (Tregs). By binding to CCR8, MGX-101 aims to modulate the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment, potentially through the depletion of these Tregs, thereby enhancing the immune system's ability to attack cancer cells. As a single-domain antibody, MGX-101 offers potential advantages in terms of tissue penetration and modularity compared to traditional monoclonal antibodies.
