MH080

MH080 is a highly selective, small-molecule inhibitor of Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2) currently under clinical development by Minghui Pharmaceutical. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. MH080 is designed to bind to the regulatory pseudokinase (JH2) domain of TYK2, a mechanism that provides high selectivity over other Janus kinase (JAK) family members such as JAK1, JAK2, and JAK3. By inhibiting TYK2, the drug disrupts the signaling pathways of key pro-inflammatory cytokines, including interleukin-23 (IL-23), interleukin-12 (IL-12), and Type I interferons (IFN), which are central to the pathogenesis of psoriasis and various other autoimmune and inflammatory disorders. This selective approach aims to maintain therapeutic efficacy while avoiding the safety concerns associated with broader JAK inhibition, such as hematological abnormalities.
