MH162 is a **mouse-human chimeric monoclonal antibody** that targets **P-glycoprotein**, a membrane transporter protein often overexpressed in multidrug-resistant (MDR) cancer cells. By binding to P-glycoprotein, MH162 facilitates antibody-dependent cell-mediated cytotoxicity (ADCC), leading to the lysis of MDR tumor cells by immune effector cells, primarily lymphocytes with CD16+ Fc receptors. MH162 has been shown to be more effective than fully murine anti-P-glycoprotein antibodies in mediating lymphocyte-driven lysis of MDR cells. The antibody has been studied preclinically as a potential tool for overcoming MDR in cancer therapy[1][2].
