Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MHA112-PLGA-PEG is a targeted polymeric nanoparticle drug delivery system composed of poly(lactic-co-glycolic acid)-polyethylene glycol (PLGA-PEG) nanoparticles conjugated to MHA112, a novel monoclonal antibody targeting peripheral node addressin (PNAd). PNAd is a family of glycoproteins constitutively expressed on high endothelial venules (HEVs) in lymph nodes and ectopically formed in the stroma of tumors and inflamed tissues. By binding to PNAd, MHA112-PLGA-PEG nanoparticles selectively home to lymph nodes and inflamed sites, enabling targeted delivery of encapsulated therapeutic payloads. In preclinical studies, MHA112-PLGA-PEG nanoparticles carrying anti-IL-6R have been investigated to attenuate ischemia-reperfusion injury (IRI) and improve graft outcomes in cardiac transplantation by limiting effector T cell responses.
