Overview

**MHY1485** is a synthetic small molecule that acts as a potent, cell-permeable activator of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) signaling pathway[7][9][10]. MHY1485 directly activates mTOR complexes (mTORC1 and mTORC2) and enhances phosphorylation of downstream targets such as S6K1 and rpS6, thereby promoting cell growth and protein synthesis[6]. In various preclinical models, MHY1485 also inhibits autophagy by preventing fusion of autophagosomes and lysosomes[4][5]. Functionally, it has demonstrated potential in promoting ovarian follicle growth and restoring endocrine function in ovarian tissue, suggesting a possible application as a fertility treatment[3][6]. In cancer cell line studies, MHY1485 exhibits antitumor and radiosensitizing activity, enhancing apoptosis, senescence, and endoplasmic reticulum stress via mTOR activation as well as additional mechanisms not limited to mTOR signaling[1][2].
