Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MI180021 is an investigational antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) developed by PharmaMar. It consists of the HER2-targeting monoclonal antibody trastuzumab conjugated to PM160057, a novel marine-derived cytotoxic payload. PM160057 belongs to a new family of DNA-binding molecules that induce cell death in tumor cells. MI180021 is designed to selectively target HER2-overexpressing cancers, including breast, gastric, and pancreatic cancers. Preclinical data presented at the 2018 World ADC Congress highlighted its potent and highly selective activity against these tumor types.
