Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Miaderm is a water-based topical cream specifically formulated to minimize the occurrence and severity of radiation dermatitis in patients receiving radiation therapy, particularly for breast cancer. The product contains a blend of active ingredients including calendula, sodium hyaluronate, and aloe vera. Calendula provides anti-inflammatory and wound-healing properties, while sodium hyaluronate (a form of hyaluronic acid) enhances skin hydration and supports tissue repair. Aloe vera serves as a soothing agent to reduce skin irritation and discomfort. Miaderm is used prophylactically and therapeutically to manage skin reactions such as erythema, itching, and pain induced by external beam radiation therapy.
