Overview

miCAR19 is a next-generation, multiplex-engineered allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Antion Biosciences. It is designed to target B-lymphocyte antigen CD19 and is being developed primarily for the treatment of B-cell driven autoimmune diseases and neoplasms. Unlike traditional CAR-T therapies that require chemotherapeutic pre-conditioning, miCAR19 incorporates genetic modifications to enhance patient safety by eliminating the need for such pre-conditioning and reducing hyperinflammatory risks. As an off-the-shelf (allogeneic) product, it enables scalable manufacturing and broad patient access. The therapy also includes additional engineering to inhibit other immune targets such as CD52, HLA class I antigens, TIGIT, and TIM3[1][3][4].
