miCAR7 is an allogeneic anti-CD7 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Antion Biosciences. It is designed to target CD7-positive malignancies, such as certain hematological cancers. The product leverages a proprietary gene silencing platform based on microRNA-mediated gene silencing, enabling simultaneous modulation of six molecules within the engineered T-cells. This multiplex engineering includes a CAR binder targeting CD7, a safety switch mechanism, and gene silencing to reduce expression of TCR, HLA-I, HLA-II, and CD7 itself. These modifications aim to enhance persistence and safety while minimizing risks like fratricide (self-killing among CAR-T cells) and immune rejection. Preclinical studies have shown high purity (>99% modified cells), robust in vitro function, and efficacy in in vivo tumor models[1][7].
