Overview

A combination therapy consisting of autologous microfragmented adipose tissue (MFAT) and high-molecular-weight hyaluronic acid (HA) administered via intra-articular injection. MFAT is obtained from the patient's own abdominal fat through liposuction and a mechanical microfragmentation process that preserves the vascular-stromal niche, including mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and pericytes. These cells exert anti-inflammatory and regenerative effects through paracrine signaling. Hyaluronic acid acts as a viscosupplement, restoring the rheological properties of the synovial fluid and providing mechanical lubrication and shock absorption. This dual approach is designed to treat symptomatic knee osteoarthritis by combining the biological regenerative potential of adipose-derived cells with the immediate mechanical benefits of HA.
