Overview

Micronized dehydrated human amnion chorion membrane (mdHACM) is a tissue-derived biologic allograft developed by MiMedx Group using the proprietary PURION® process. Derived from donated human placental tissues, it is processed into a micronized, injectable form that retains a complex milieu of signaling proteins, including growth factors and cytokines. mdHACM exhibits anti-inflammatory, anti-fibrotic, and regenerative properties. It is primarily developed for musculoskeletal conditions, where it aims to reduce pain and improve function by modulating inflammatory environments and promoting tissue homeostasis. Clinical development has focused on knee osteoarthritis and plantar fasciitis, with research also exploring its utility in tendinopathy.
