microRNA-150 mimic is a synthetic double-stranded RNA oligonucleotide designed to emulate the functional activity of endogenous microRNA-150 (miR-150). In the context of oncology, particularly breast cancer, miR-150 acts as a regulator of the tumor microenvironment by orchestrating immune activation and lymphocyte trafficking. The mimic is used to restore or enhance miR-150 levels, which has been shown to enrich multiple immune-related signaling pathways, including interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α), and various interleukins (IL-2, IL-6). By modulating these pathways, the miR-150 mimic promotes the infiltration of CD8+ T cells, CD4+ memory T cells, and dendritic cells into the tumor, potentially improving cytolytic activity and overall survival in patients with breast cancer, especially those with ER-positive/HER2-negative subtypes.
