Overview

Autologous Multi-Immune Cell Therapy (MICT) is a preclinical-stage adoptive cell therapy being developed by Navi Bio Therapeutics for the treatment of cancer. The therapy involves the ex vivo expansion and activation of a patient's own immune cells, specifically combining dendritic cells (DCs) and cytokine-induced killer (CIK) cells. Dendritic cells function as potent antigen-presenting cells that prime the immune system to recognize tumor-specific antigens, while CIK cells are a specialized population of effector lymphocytes that exert direct, non-MHC-restricted cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. The mechanism of action relies on the synergistic crosstalk between these two cell types to enhance the body's active immune response. MICT is designed as a gentle adjuvant immunotherapy intended to be used in conjunction with traditional cancer treatments such as surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy to eliminate residual disease and prevent recurrence.
