Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MID Antibodies is a preclinical-stage monoclonal antibody therapeutic being developed by M Bio Technology, a Japanese research and development company focused on mycoplasma infectious diseases. The program targets Mycoplasma glycolipid antigens, which are membrane surface antigens that M Bio Technology has identified, structurally characterized, and chemically synthesized through proprietary technology. These monoclonal antibodies are designed to bind to these specific glycolipid targets to neutralize the pathogen or promote its clearance by the immune system. The primary indications for this program are infections caused by *Mycoplasma pneumoniae* and *Mycoplasma fermentans*. This development builds upon M Bio Technology's MID (Mycoplasma Infectious Diseases) platform, which also includes diagnostic and vaccine candidates, and aims to be the world's first antibody drug for mycoplasma infections.
