Drug intelligence / Profile preview
MID Vaccine is a preclinical vaccine candidate developed by M Bio Technology for the prevention and treatment of infections caused by *Mycoplasma pneumoniae* and *Mycoplasma fermentans*. The vaccine utilizes a proprietary platform of chemically synthesized 'mycoplasma mimetic particles' (also known as mycoplasma pseudoparticles). These particles consist of glycolipid antigens specific to the Mycoplasma cell membrane, formulated into liposome structures that mimic the natural membrane of the pathogen. By presenting these synthesized antigens in a biomimetic format, the vaccine is designed to elicit a protective immune response, specifically inducing the production of antibodies against Mycoplasma species.
