Overview

MIIP siRNA is a small interfering RNA (siRNA) used as a research tool to silence the expression of the Migration and Invasion Inhibitory Protein (MIIP) gene. MIIP is a putative tumor suppressor gene that has been shown to inhibit cell motility, invasion, and proliferation in various cancers, including endometrial carcinoma. In research settings, knockdown of MIIP using siRNA has been observed to significantly increase cell migration and invasion, while reducing the levels of matrix metalloproteases such as MMP-2 and MMP-9. This reagent is primarily used in in vitro studies to elucidate the role of MIIP in oncogenic pathways such as TP53, Jak-STAT, and PI3K/Akt signaling.
