MIL93 is a recombinant humanized afucosylated IgG1 monoclonal antibody that targets Claudin 18.2 (CLDN18.2), a tumor-associated antigen specifically expressed in the tight junctions of gastric epithelial cells and overexpressed in several malignancies, including gastric, gastroesophageal junction, pancreatic, and biliary tract cancers. By binding to CLDN18.2 on cancer cells, MIL93 induces antitumor activity primarily through enhanced antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC). Preclinical studies have shown superior activity compared to zolbetuximab. The drug is being developed for the treatment of advanced solid tumors with CLDN18.2 expression and has reached phase 1/2 clinical trials for various gastrointestinal cancers[1][2][3][4][5][6].
