MILs-NSCLC + nivolumab is a combination therapy being investigated for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). This therapy combines MILs-NSCLC, an adoptive cell therapy produced via WindMIL's proprietary process to activate, transform and expand T cells derived from the bone marrow of patients with NSCLC, with nivolumab (Opdivo), an anti-PD-1 immune checkpoint inhibitor. The combination is being studied specifically in patients with locally advanced unresectable or metastatic NSCLC who are refractory to, or have relapsed on, an anti-PD-1-containing regimen. The therapeutic approach aims to strengthen immune responses in hard-to-treat cases of NSCLC by combining the intrinsic anti-tumor activity of MILs-NSCLC with the immune checkpoint inhibition of nivolumab.
