Mingmu Xunxi Decoction is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula used primarily for the treatment of ocular surface diseases, particularly Meibomian gland dysfunction and other chronic eye conditions. It is composed of multiple herbs selected to "brighten the eyes," nourish blood, clear obstructions, and restore function according to TCM theory. While specific ingredient lists may vary by practitioner or region, common components include Lycium barbarum (goji berry), Polygonatum species, Ophiopogon japonicus, Poria cocos, Glycyrrhiza uralensis (licorice), Eclipta prostrata, and Ligusticum striatum[1][2].
