Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Mingshi Granule is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) hospital preparation developed by the Ophthalmic Hospital of the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (CACMS). It is specifically indicated for the treatment and prevention of myopia in children and adolescents. Formulated based on TCM principles, the drug is intended to nourish the liver and kidneys, improve blood circulation in the ocular region, and alleviate eye strain (asthenopia). Pharmacologically, it is thought to slow the progression of axial length elongation and refractive changes by improving choroidal blood flow and modulating scleral remodeling. As a hospital-authorized preparation in China, it is widely used within the CACMS ophthalmic network for managing progressive myopia.
