Overview

Mino-Wrap is a novel, liquefying gel-based wrap that contains the antibiotics minocycline and rifampin. It is designed to reduce the rate of post-operative infections associated with tissue expanders and breast implants in patients undergoing reconstructive breast surgery following mastectomy. The product provides localized delivery of antibiotics directly to the surgical site, aiming to protect inflammatory tissue and prevent infection during the critical healing period after surgery. Mino-Wrap has been licensed from MD Anderson Cancer Center and is being developed by Citius Pharmaceuticals as a potential first-in-class FDA-approved therapy for this indication[1][3][4][6][8].
