Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Minretumomab is a murine monoclonal antibody that targets the tumor-associated glycoprotein 72 (TAG-72), which is expressed on the surface of various adenocarcinomas. It was primarily developed as a radiolabeled antibody for use in radioimmunotherapy and diagnostic imaging of cancers such as colorectal, ovarian, and other epithelial-derived tumors. Minretumomab binds specifically to TAG-72 on cancer cells, allowing for targeted delivery of radioactive isotopes or imaging agents to tumor sites. The drug was originally developed by Cytogen.
