Overview

MIP-1095 I-123 is an iodine 123-radiolabeled small molecule that exhibits high affinity for prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA). It is a glutamate–urea–lysine analogue designed for molecular imaging of PSMA-expressing prostate cancer cells using gamma scintigraphy. PSMA is highly expressed on malignant prostate epithelial cells and the vascular endothelium of various solid tumors. MIP‑1095 I‑123 selectively binds to PSMA, enabling targeted imaging in patients with suspected or known prostate cancer. The drug has been investigated in clinical trials for its safety, pharmacokinetics, tissue distribution, metabolism, and dosimetry as a diagnostic agent in prostate cancer[1][2][3][4][8].
