These inhibitors typically utilize antisense oligonucleotides (antagomirs), often delivered via nanoparticle systems such as iron oxide or lipid nanoparticles to enhance stability and target delivery to metastatic sites. By inhibiting miR-10b, these agents aim to restore the expression of target genes like HOXD10, thereby suppressing tumor proliferation and metastasis. Key candidates in this class include TTX-MC138, developed by TransCode Therapeutics, and RGLS5579, developed by Regulus Therapeutics.
