miR-1307-3p inhibitor is a sequence-specific oligonucleotide designed to hybridize with and inhibit the mature microRNA miR-1307-3p. In breast cancer and other malignancies, miR-1307-3p acts as an oncogenic microRNA (onco-miR) that is significantly overexpressed in tumor tissues compared to healthy tissues. By binding to miR-1307-3p, the inhibitor prevents the microRNA from suppressing its target genes (such as SMYD4, DAB2IP, and PRM2), thereby reducing cancer cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and tumor-associated angiogenesis. It is primarily utilized as a research-use-only laboratory tool to investigate the functional role of miR-1307-3p in cancer progression and chemoresistance.
