miR-143 inhibitor refers to a class of antisense oligonucleotides designed to specifically bind to and sequester microRNA-143 (miR-143), thereby preventing it from regulating its target messenger RNAs. In the context of oncology, particularly glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), miR-143 has been observed to be overexpressed in patient samples. While *in vitro* studies using miR-143 inhibitors have shown reduced cell proliferation and increased apoptosis in GBM cell lines, some *in vivo* studies have reported paradoxical increases in tumor growth, suggesting complex roles for miR-143 within the tumor microenvironment. These inhibitors are typically formulated in delivery vehicles such as liposomes to enhance stability and cellular uptake.
