**miR-145 ASO** is an experimental antisense oligonucleotide designed to specifically inhibit the activity of microRNA-145 (miR-145), a microRNA known to function as a tumor suppressor and regulator of inflammation, vascular smooth muscle cell proliferation, and other pathways. The ASO binds complementarily to the mature miR-145 sequence, blocking its function and thereby modulating the expression of its downstream target genes. Preclinical studies have investigated miR-145 ASO for its ability to modulate immune responses (for example, in experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis), tumor growth, and inflammatory responses[3][5][7]. miR-145 itself targets multiple proteins and is involved in the control of numerous oncogenic processes, including cell proliferation, invasion, and apoptosis[1][2]. miR-145 ASO represents a potential RNA-targeted therapeutic approach for diseases where miR-145 activity is pathological or dysregulated[3][5].
