miR-182-5p inhibitor refers to a class of molecular agents, typically antisense oligonucleotides (antagomirs), designed to specifically bind and sequester microRNA-182-5p (miR-182-5p). miR-182-5p is an oncogenic microRNA that is frequently overexpressed in various malignancies, including bladder cancer, where it promotes tumor progression by silencing tumor suppressor genes such as Smad4 and RECK. By inhibiting miR-182-5p, these inhibitors facilitate the restoration of target gene expression, thereby suppressing cell proliferation, migration, and invasion, and potentially inhibiting the Wnt/beta-catenin signaling pathway.
