As an agomir, this molecule is used to upregulate the effects of miR-200b-3p, which include **inhibiting EMT, suppressing tumor cell proliferation, invasion, and migration**, and improving **chemosensitivity (e.g., to 5-fluorouracil in colorectal cancer cells)** by downregulating HMGB3/\u03b2-catenin/c-Myc signaling[2][4]. miR-200b-3p also regulates NF-\u03baB and IRF3-mediated interferon production by targeting TBK1, indicating a role in antiviral immunity, although the agomir itself is typically used in cancer research rather than antiviral therapy[1][8].
