Overview

miR-200c mimic is a synthetic, double-stranded RNA oligonucleotide designed to replicate the function of the endogenous microRNA miR-200c. It acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting the epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT) through the downregulation of key transcription factors and proteins, including ZEB1, ZEB2, N-cadherin, TrkB, and Bmi1. Preclinical studies have explored its potential in treating various cancers, such as lung, pancreatic, and breast cancer, as well as endometriosis. Delivery strategies often involve liposomal or polymeric nanoparticle formulations to enhance stability and cellular uptake. Currently, it is primarily utilized as a research reagent and has not entered formal clinical development under a proprietary name.
