Drug intelligence / Profile preview
miR-210-3p mimic is a synthetic double-stranded RNA oligonucleotide designed to mimic the activity of endogenous microRNA-210-3p (miR-210-3p). It is widely utilized as a research-use-only (RUO) laboratory tool to investigate the physiological and pathological roles of miR-210-3p, particularly in cellular responses to hypoxia, angiogenesis, and ischemia-reperfusion injury. In experimental models, transfection of cells (such as glomerular endothelial cells or renal tubular cells) with miR-210-3p mimic downregulates key target genes, including hypoxia-inducible factor 1-alpha (HIF1A), transferrin receptor 1 (TFRC), and transforming growth factor beta receptor 1 (TGFBR1). This modulation can enhance glycolytic capacity and provide cytoprotective effects under hypoxic conditions, making it a subject of interest for research into organ preservation and acute kidney injury.
