miR-29b mimic is a microRNA mimic designed to increase the levels of microRNA-29b. In colon cancer, overexpression of miR-29b has been shown to inhibit cell growth, promote sensitivity to oxaliplatin (L-OHP), and stimulate cell apoptosis. This is achieved by directly targeting and negatively regulating Folate Receptor 1 (FOLR1). Additionally, miR-29b mimic decreases the levels of ATP Binding Cassette Subfamily G Member 2 (ABCG2) and p-glycoprotein (p-gp) in cancer cells, which are associated with drug resistance.
