miR-3065-5p mimic is a synthetic microRNA designed to replicate the tumor-suppressive functions of endogenous miR-3065-5p. It primarily targets and downregulates the expression of Profilin 2 (PFN2), a protein associated with enhanced growth and metastatic potential in certain cancers. In the context of lung adenocarcinoma, miR-3065-5p has been identified as a component of radiation-induced exosomes that mediates a bystander effect, inhibiting cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Preclinical studies using xenograft models have demonstrated that administration of the miR-3065-5p mimic can significantly reduce tumor volume, Ki-67 expression, and angiogenesis, suggesting its potential as a therapeutic agent for lung cancer.
