Overview

miR-337-3p mimic is a synthetic microRNA designed to replicate the activity of the endogenous microRNA-337-3p. In the context of oncology, specifically non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), it has been shown to sensitize cancer cells to taxane-based chemotherapy. The mimic exerts its effect by directly targeting and downregulating the expression of Signal Transducer and Activator of Transcription 3 (STAT3) and RAP1A, a member of the Ras oncogene family. This downregulation leads to an enhanced arrest of the cell cycle in the G2 phase when combined with taxanes, thereby overcoming drug resistance and reducing cell viability.
