Overview

miR-363-3p antagonist is a synthetic antisense oligonucleotide designed to sequence-specifically bind and inhibit the activity of microRNA-363-3p. In non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), miR-363-3p has been identified as a tumor suppressor that targets Cullin4A (CUL4A). Research indicates that miR-363-3p levels are significantly decreased in NSCLC tumor tissues compared to adjacent normal tissues. Experimental use of miR-363-3p antagonists in NSCLC cell lines, such as A549 and H23, has demonstrated that inhibiting this microRNA leads to an increase in CUL4A expression, which in turn reduces the sensitivity of these cells to gemcitabine treatment and promotes chemotherapy resistance. Conversely, overexpression of miR-363-3p inhibits cell proliferation and enhances gemcitabine sensitivity.
