Overview

miR-369-3p mimic is a synthetic oligonucleotide designed to replicate the function of endogenous miR-369-3p, a microRNA known for post-transcriptional regulation of gene expression. It is commonly used in research settings to restore or enhance miR-369-3p activity in cellular or animal models for mechanistic or therapeutic studies. miR-369-3p mimic operates by base pairing with complementary sequences in target mRNAs, leading to their degradation or translational repression. Studies have shown that miR-369-3p mimic can regulate inflammatory responses (notably in models of inflammatory bowel disease and atherosclerosis), inhibit tumor cell proliferation by downregulating targets like TSPAN13, BRCC3, TCF4, and modulate the NLRP3 inflammasome. There is no evidence it is currently developed for clinical use as a pharmaceutical drug; its application is primarily experimental as an RNA therapeutic or genetic tool[1][2][3][4][5][7].
