miR-4262 mimics are chemically synthesized double-stranded RNA molecules designed to emulate the function of the endogenous microRNA miR-4262. These mimics are used to upregulate miR-4262 activity for functional analysis in various disease models. In preclinical research for gastric cancer, miR-4262 mimics have been shown to suppress cell proliferation and invasion and promote apoptosis by targeting the CD163 gene. Conversely, in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), miR-4262 has been identified as a factor that enhances paclitaxel resistance by targeting PTEN and activating the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. Currently, miR-4262 mimics are primarily utilized as research-grade reagents and are not known to be in active clinical development as therapeutic assets by a specific pharmaceutical sponsor.
