Overview

miR-4652-3p mimic is a synthetic double-stranded RNA oligonucleotide designed to simulate the biological activity of the endogenous microRNA miR-4652-3p. In the context of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), miR-4652-3p acts as a tumor suppressor by inhibiting glutamine metabolism. It achieves this by directly targeting and downregulating the expression of the MYC proto-oncogene and the neutral amino acid transporter SLC1A5 (also known as ASCT2). By suppressing the MYC/SLC1A5 axis, the mimic reduces the inflammatory microenvironment-induced metabolic reprogramming that supports cancer cell proliferation and survival.
