Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**miR-603 + PEI liposome + PR_b-targeted** is an academic, preclinical targeted microRNA nanomedicine for glioblastoma. The formulation complexes miR-603 with polyethylenimine and encapsulates the complex in PEGylated liposomes functionalized with the fibronectin-mimetic peptide PR_b, which targets integrin alpha-5/beta-1 on glioblastoma cells. Delivered miR-603 reduces insulin-like growth factor 1 and insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor expression, suppressing glioblastoma stem-like cell-state and radiation resistance and sensitizing patient-derived glioblastoma cells to ionizing radiation.
