**miR-651-5p antagomir** is a chemically engineered antisense oligonucleotide designed to specifically inhibit the activity of microRNA miR-651-5p. This antagomir binds to miR-651-5p and prevents it from interacting with its target mRNAs, reversing its gene-silencing effects. In preclinical studies with EGFR-mutant non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), miR-651-5p antagomir increased infiltration of CD8+ T cells, decreased immune cell apoptosis, and enhanced the efficacy of PD-1 inhibitor immunotherapy. Mechanistically, miR-651-5p promotes apoptosis by downregulating BCL2 expression in T cells, and the antagomir restores BCL2, supporting anti-tumor immune response. No information is available on commercial developers or manufacturers, and it is currently an investigational research reagent used in academic studies[1][8].
