miR-675 inhibitor refers to a class of therapeutic agents, typically antisense oligonucleotides (ASOs) or peptide nucleic acids (PNAs), designed to selectively bind and neutralize microRNA-675 (miR-675). miR-675 is a small non-coding RNA derived from the H19 long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and is frequently upregulated in various cancers and physiological conditions. By inhibiting miR-675, these agents modulate downstream signaling pathways including Cdc25A, AKT/GSK-3β, and MITF. Research has explored miR-675 inhibitors for their potential in treating hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and osteosarcoma by suppressing cell proliferation and invasion. Additionally, experimental conjugates such as the placental homing peptide CCGKRK-miR-675 inhibitor have been investigated for targeted enhancement of placental growth in pregnancy complications like fetal growth restriction.
