Overview

MiraSOFT is an over-the-counter, stimulant-free stool softener developed and launched by Bayer. Formulated as easy-to-swallow liquid gels, its active ingredient is docusate sodium (100 mg), which functions as an anionic surfactant to lower the surface tension of stool, allowing water and lipids to penetrate and soften hard, dry feces. Indicated for the relief of occasional constipation, MiraSOFT typically produces a bowel movement within 12 to 72 hours. As of September 2026, the product is available exclusively at CVS Pharmacy locations and CVS.com.
